Traffic lawyers win cases

This is a really interesting read. Take the time to read it, it could end up saving you a lot of money in the long run. It’s amazing how how for $59 dollars you can get a traffic attorney who can help to level the playing ground.

This article also points out how tickets are really “big business” for local government. But at what expense? The local driver if hit with one of these tickets and does not have a lawyer he will pay steep fines and then deal with the insurance rates going up and a mark on your driving record. Any enough from me you should check it out.

For years, lawyers known as ambulance-chasers have raced the sirens and flashing police lights to the scene of traffic accidents in hopes of representing the defendant in a lucrative personal injury case.Today, the same entrepreneurial spirit thrives at the opposite end of the legal big-money spectrum: traffic tickets. But in this growing new market, it’s the speeders and drunk drivers who are chasing the lawyers to represent them.

Can traffic lawyers win your case? You be the judge (Page 1 of 4)

Ford Mustang Shelby GT-H Racer

Check out this great review of one of the coolest muscle cars on the road. This review comes to us from the truth about cars blog. If you have a few hours head over there and check out their site. it rocks.

The new Shelby GT-H is not only one of the world’s most desirable cars, it’s also one of the rarest. Not rare in the Pagani Zonda F sense of the word (i.e. only the five wealthiest Kings of Europe can afford one). Rare because Ford’s limited total production to six hundred units, Hertz gets all of them, and at LAX at least, the GT-H is booked through October. Thanks to a manufacturer-sponsored press event (disclaimer done) your intrepid TTAC reviewer managed to get his mitts on the “Hertz rent-a-racer.” I don’t think I’m giving anything away to say that pistonheads’ wives can consider their husbands’ birthday present sorted.

Saturn Sky roadster

This is refreshing to see Saturn stick to their guns on the new Saturn Sky roadster. I like the fact they have publicly stated they will punish any dealership who tries to unfailry up the price of the car.

Again their brand rest on fair pricing something we give them high marks for!

The hot Saturn Sky roadster has prompted some dealers of the famous “No-Haggle” brand to charge a premium for the in-demand convertible. This is a huge no-no for Saturn, a brand that made a name for itself by selling at a flat rate with no negotiations, up or down.In a recent CNNMoney story, Saturn representatives are adamant that dealers unfairly upping the price on the Sky will be punished. The no-haggle approach is the core of Saturn’s brand identity; one study even stated two-thirds of shoppers prefer to pay a set price.

New car negotiations

If you have multiple things to agree on, wait until you’ve discussed each one before making a final decision. For example, when buying a car, you have to negotiate not only the price of the car, but you may have to discuss the date the car will be ready and the warranty coverage as well. You might agree to a price but be dissatisfied with the warranty coverage. If you already agree to buy the car before you discuss the warranty coverage, you lose some of your leverage. However, if you haven’t agreed to the sale and the warranty question comes up, you can threaten to walk away from the entire negotiation process. Even if the salesperson can’t do any better with the warranty, he or she might instead be able to lower the price or add another option to the car.

California Bans Cell Phone Use While Driving

The new law will go into effect on July 1, 2008. I guess I am ok with this new law?

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will sign a bill today that bans handheld cell phone use while driving. California will be the fourth state to put such a ban in place.

Fines for breaking the new law will be $20 for the first offense and
$50 every time after, but none of the tickets will impact the driver’s
insurance. Many cars sold today feature their own built-in hands-free
devices, and we’d expect that by July 2008 many more vehicles will come
with the technology standard.
